•. GET MATURED COCONUT: In Nigeria market getting matured coconut is easy,just ask for Ghana coconut. Note that, the matured the coconut is, the more oil you can get.
• BREAK THE COCONUT:You can break the coconut by smacking them on you r hard floor,tapping with kitchen knife or simply place on a hot stove.
• EXTRACT THE COCONUT MEAT AND CUT INTO TINY PIECES.
• GRATE OR GROUND THE COCONUT MEAT AND SIEVE ,Either with a cheese cloth or your sieving bowl. Sieve like three times to get more milk. You can save and dry the flour for future use (baking,spicing of snacks or making swallow).
• PLACE THE COCONUT MILK IN A TRANSPARENT COVERED BOWL :Place it in a dark cool area,preferably fridge, then leave for a day(24 hrs) without shaking.
• Afterwards,you will notice that the coconut milk has separated (white water and white thick milk on top).
