Hummus is a really popular dip which originally from Egypt and dates back to the 13th century. A bowl of Hummus is packed with great protein and is loved by vegans as it an ideal supplement for fibre and proteins.
Hummus is a spread made from cooked and mashed chickpeas blended along with garlic, tahini and olive oil. The recipe to prepare this is really simple.

Parsley
Pepper – 1 tsp
Olive Oil – 2 tbsp
Salt
Method of preparation –
- Grind chickpeas, tahini, garlic to make a thick paste out of it. If the mixture is too thick, dilute it with water.
- Add the pepper and parsley to it. Drizzle olive oil on top.
The spread is all ready to use and can be had along with falafel, pita bread, sandwich, salad or any other dish of your choice. Enjoy!
