You search through the rest of the drawer but do not notice anything else of interest. While it looks like the heavy-duty tape would come quite in handy there is so little of it left that you decided it is not worth carrying around. You put it back into the drawer.

Now that you are properly in the room you decided to scan around it. This is also when you realize the flashlight on your wristwatch is now on. Making it a lot easier to see around the room itself. You noticed a panel on the wall. You wonder if that could be used like some sort of light switch and turn on the light in the room.

You walk over to the panel and tap on the screen of it a couple of times. It then cycles through the lighting settings in the room. It seems you have quite a lot of options for lighting from all the lights to be on, to a certain amount of them being on. You could even change the color of them slightly to make them cooler or warmer feeling. You decided just to leave them all on as white light.

You return to the desk and this time check through the pieces of paper that are on it. It is for sure the logo of Corporation C-199X on the papers themselves. Many of them also seem to be addressed to someone named Mathew.

Perhaps it was Mathew that was the one who set up the trap in this office. As you further explored the drawers in the room there was even a photo of a family. Perhaps he was the man standing in one of the photos possibly next to his wife.

This photo seemed rather important. As such you took it out of its frame and flipped it around. You were hoping there would be some kind of writing on the back. There was nothing. You decide to put the photo back into the frame and leave it in the desk drawer you found it in.

You continued your search of all the other drawers. Nothing else of interest was found in any of them. For the most part, the rest were empty except for a few loose pieces of paper that were all addressed to Mathew.

You further walked around the room examining everything else in there. There was a side table with some strange crystal-looking figurines. As your hand got close to them they seemed to react to the heat in your hand and started to dance around slowly. Once you pulled your hand away they stopped moving and froze in the position they were in.

You explored further looking into a filing cabinet at the back of the room. You at first thought it was locked. However, by pulling quite hard you managed to get it to open. It was filled with lots more paper each showing the logo for Corporation C-199X.

After skimming through some of it. You started to get the impression it was all scientific data. You could not quite tell what it was about. There was even a diagram of an object with a bunch of rings that seemed to rotate and use a lot of electricity.

The further you thumbed through the pieces of paper in the feeling cabinet you started to realize most of the pages were not in English. They were instead strange symbols that look similar to other symbols you could not read elsewhere on the station.

On occasion, there would be side notes written in the margins. They however made as much sense as the strange symbols did. You scanned quite a few of them with your wristwatch so the computer could attempt to analyze them. You however were not expecting to get much further information out of them.

After some time it felt like there was nothing else to check out in this room. It was time to move on. Do you check the second door on the right or go past it and continue forward?
