You head east down quite a long passageway. It became quite clear you had left the maze at least for the time being. After a while, your wristwatch light reflected on a piece of metal that was at the end of the passageway.
You had found a door. You went to open it but nothing happened. You looked around to see if it requires some kind of ID card to open but there was none. So you slowly swept around the door itself with the light seeing if you could find any further clues on how to open it.
After some time and many further attempts to open the door. You felt it would be best to head back into the maze and see if there was anything in there that could unlock the door itself. That is however when you heard a click.
It was not anything you had stepped on. The door itself had a timer lock. While it was starting to get late into the evening. That seems precisely when this door unlocked in the first place. You had no idea how long the door would be unlocked or if you could get locked inside the room it opened up into.
All you do know is now was your chance and you were taking it. You pushed on the door and it opened to revival quite a tiny room. It had a single desk and a couch that looked like it would have been perfect for taking a nap on.
The desk itself was made out of this strange burnt blackened cherry wood. It had the oddest of smells making you think of a bakery full of pies. It also had quite a high gloss on it as well. The desk was quite alluring to look at.
There was also not a single thing on the desk either. You even opened up all the drawers and they were entirely empty. This was quite a strange room of nothing.
It did not take long to walk around the room a few times moving your flashlight over every square inch that you could. It was not only empty but remarkably clean as well. The only thing left to give a proper search was the couch.
The couch was indeed going to need quite a long time intensive review. Yes, you would have to spend some time just laying on it you thought. It was so inviting since you had just been sleeping on snow and ice for far too long now.
You went to sit down on the quiet leather soft couch. Expect something was poking you in the ribs. You went to pull out what it was. You had found a yellow ID card that must have fallen out of someone’s pocket into the crevices of the couch itself. You put the yellow ID card in your backpack for safekeeping in case you need it at a later point in time.
It was then time for a long overdue nap. You have no idea how long you rested for it was like sleeping on a giant cloud. By the time you woke up, you felt fully refreshed.
This is when panic started to set in just a little bit. That door was on an automatic timer. You rushed towards it and it opened. There was nothing else to check out in this room anyways. It was time to find a way out of the maze.
You headed west for quite a ways till you found yourself looking at quite an intersection of different paths you could take. Do you head north, or south, or south then west?
