You continue to head west down the tunnel. It seems for whatever reason there were large sections where they gave up drilling for core samples every so many foot. The tunnel itself even went down to a single mining cart width in size. It seems that they were after they were not found in this part of the cave.

After a while, you noticed an actual mining cart. It had a small electric engine on the back of it. Since you had no idea how much longer this tunnel must have gone on you decided to jump and give it a try.

To your shock, the mining cart still worked. It speeds off quite quickly heading further west. You were rather glad you found this cart as it seemed you were just keeping over the vast amount of the tunnel where nothing of interest was found.

You start to feel a little alarmed when you start to look for any kind of control for the mine cart. There appear to be no breaks from the best you could tell. You just hope there is something at the end of where ever this is taking you to tell it to stop.

At one you freaked out a little bit once you noticed the cave walls had vanished. You were looking down a massive abyss and the only thing keeping you from going over was a rather rickety bridge that has been constructed. The mining cart was starting to jump and down a bit as it sped over the abyss.

Shortly after that, the mining craft slowed down. You had hit a dead-end. There was nothing here. After looking around for a short while. You jumped back into the mining cart so you would be facing east.

It then without even needing you to do anything shot off heading east. You went back over the bridge and another hour or so of nothing interesting. You were hoping it would take you all the way back to the elevator. It however did not.

At the same spot, you had found the mining cart in the first place it slowed down and stopped. You tried multiple times to get it to go further. It however would not.

It looks like now you will have to continue going by on foot. You could check the side tunnel heading off to the north if you have not already or go back to the elevators by walking east.
