Like any sane person would you decide to go to dinner before calling it a night. You get down to the mess hall and the computer clock shows it's 5:04 PM. That seems a lot more reasonable. In the morning perhaps you will try to take a look at the computer system again and work out why the upper decks of the ship and the lower decks of the ship are on such different times.
You tell the computer to deliver whatever cube of food you are getting tonight for dinner. Nothing however happens. You wait around a while thinking perhaps there is a diagnostic program running that is using up most of the system ram and the computer is just being slow to get back to you. You would think with all the years computers have had to advance this would have stopped being an issue long ago.
After a while, the computer replied that there was a jam in the tube system the nutrition cubes are sent through from the lower deck they are in. Another antiquated system seems to have failed despite all the technological advancements since the start of humankind.
It seems you have one of two choices to choices to make. You can just get some rest and look into the matter in the morning. You could also decide why to put it off for tomorrow when you can go look to see what the issue is. Perhaps getting dinner in the process for yourself.
