As you climb up the ladder you realize this is the highest floor on the ship. It is also the smallest one. There is a giant metal table with a single chair at its helm. Every square inch of the walls in this room is glowing with different numbers, letters, and icons as if they were displaying information about the ship.
Many sectors on the walls are glowing red. As if to indicate failing systems or things not running up to standards. While it seems like the ship only just had aliens aboard maintaining it yesterday. You start to wonder just how many years this ship has been here.
Among the red panels while you can’t make out any of the writing to understand the meaning behind them. There are quite a few gauges like you would find in a car. Most of them are almost to the bottom and are an even deeper shade of red than the sections around them.
It seems this ship is slowly failing with no way to stop it. Try as you might as you explore the different sections of walls and look at all the data. It might as well be written by a crazy person as most of it has zero resounding impact on you as your mind glazes over just trying to take in what you are looking at.
The desk in the center of the room was filled with a mound of shining lights. You picked one of them up and it appears to be more of the electronic paper that can be found elsewhere on the ship. This one had a drawing of an ice planet on the outside of it. It seemed to be trying to indicate something about the planet but you could not even begin to guess what.
On the other side of the room beyond just further panels that are mostly red with unknown letters and numbers on them. You find a storage locker. When you open it up it appears to contain different items used for maintaining the systems on this floor.
One object was a long pole with a gripper at the end of it. It looked like it was meant to pass through a cylinder skinny hole and to pick something up from in some sort of retrieval.
There were also many different colors of pins. They appeared to have magnets on them as if you were meant to stick them to the metal walls. Perhaps it was some sort of probing device you however decided to put it down as something else ended up catching your eye.
You find quite a thick and long pair of what must be power cables. It is kind of odd such an advanced species as this would even have what could be almost mistaken as power cables belonging to your own ship. They also look quite useful if you ever needed to repair by replacing damaged cables.
Do you take the power cables, head down to explore the basement, or go and explore floor 2?
