You decided you needed a bit of a break from all the excitement you have been having exploring around. Your legs were also cramping up a bit and your back has had better days as well. A day of rest was well needed.

You had hoped that if you sat real still you would at least be able to hear something else other than the wind and the pine needles in the trees moving. There was not even a flutter of a butterfly let alone an ant on the ground. Sometimes this moon was just spooky how silent it could get. Even more so when you are this far from any other features on the moon such as the ocean.

You were kind of shocked there were not any other locations to find in the area. You even went into the ship and did some searching around on the data the computer was complicating while it was running all different kinds of scans of the local area.

It seems it was able to map out that the cave network was even bigger than you would have expected. It also seemed there was some kind of covering on the door itself. It could however not give you any further details. Such details you would only know about if you had already gone to the giant cave network.

After a few hours where it seceded, you did not get much done. Other than to discover at the poles of the planet some massive wind storms were hitting almost 150 MPH. you were rather a glade there those locations were considered not habitable and the computer would not even let you land near them if you wanted.

You also took some time looking around the ship. It had been in a lot of adventures over the past few days. It was looking quite rough. You are not even sure if this thing could survive a full take-off into orbit around the planet again let alone go elsewhere.

Losing that one thruster on the way down was yet another blow. You even went out to further inspect the damage. As you had expected from what the computer was reporting about the damage. It was going to be beyond repair. At least it was not required. It however would put a lot of strain on already strained systems. If anything else this major broke down you would be in some real trouble in a short amount of time.

At least for now, you were on a planet that you could live on if needed. While sometimes the thought of staying here forever and just giving up the quest to discover the energy source you were sent out to here to try and find. You were as crazy as it sounds feeling a little homesick despite your home being in a giant dome and everything you did was monitored at all hours of the day and year.

After a lot of just wandering around and not getting anything of substance done a great relaxing day should be all about. It was time to call it a night and get some sleep.

You would have to decide in the morning if you were going to check out the giant cave network or head east to the forest landing site.
