You continue further south not realizing just how close you were to some areas you could explore. After going over a bit of a steep hill and almost rolling down it into a tree. You could see off in the distance a large clearing.

The last few steps would not be without risk. There was a large lake separating you from the clearing ahead. A storm was also rolling in and you did not have time to go around. You wanted to try and make it to somewhere you could set up for the night.

At least the lake was not that large. It was perhaps just a couple hundred feet wide in the section you were at of it. Some people might mistake this as just a small pond. However in these temptresses even with a space suit, this was no matter to joke about.

You took one careful step out onto the lake followed by another. You could tell this lake gets a lot of high cross winds as most of the snow had been blown off it. Leaving an almost perfect icy gleam looking right back at you.

Looking down you could see the lake was quite frozen over perhaps down bedrock. You slowly marched across the lake hoping to not hear the dreaded sound of ice cracking. Outside of the wind hallowing at your back pushing you slightly forward it was an otherwise uneventful ordeal.

You made it to the other side and quickly ran up to a snow bank just off the lake few feet. You started to dig out a makeshift hole to hide away from the storm for the evening. It was quite an unconformable rest you had as you never got it quite leveled right and it was quite cramped in there with snow from the blizzard blowing in without a proper wind blocker at the front. It was however enough to survive the night.

The next morning you started to walk around the clearing a bit to see if there was anything of interest to do. You ended up stopping by the mouth of a cave. Will you be exploring the cave, heading further south, or going back the way you came to the north?
