You decided to head up north hoping some things you would need later on could be found up there. It did not take very long before you ran into your first real obstacle. There was a lake it was only a couple hundred feet wide at the point you were at. It seemed to pose quite a lot higher danger than you were looking to take on.

While the weather was not perfect you decided to try going around it. The issue was however it seemed like the lake had quite some length to it. There was however a trail in a semi-wooded area to the west that you decided to take. It was also the direction that looked to be the shortest of the options you had.

As you walked along you noticed something rather strange. It looked like there was an ice bridge going over the frozen lake. You could not believe your eyes. It was quite hidden from the shoreline and you only noticed it once you walked far enough along the path.

It was perhaps a wooden or some other kind of material the bridge was made out of. You walked up to it and jumped as high as you could on the first part of the bridge. It did not move let alone sway. It seemed to be quite a rock solid.

It seemed a bit silly to take such a risk but you went for it. You were able to cross the bridge that looked otherwise unnoticeable if you had not been this close to see it was not touching the lake at all. After a few fearful steps that it might collapse and you would fall onto the frozen lake itself you were on the other side.

You quickly walked along the path you found heading east till you were about the right place and then started to head further north. That ended up taking a lot less time than you were expecting.

It did not take long before you met your next challenge. Decently steep hillside. Parts of it were rather icy. You held onto the different tree branches on one side of the path and you slowly waddled your way up the hill.

Once you made it to the top you decided to sit down and try sliding down the other side of it. That worked out quite well. It also gave you somewhat of a thrill for doing so.

It was not long after that you noticed a clearing and a few possible directions you could go. You could continue going north into a massive tundra, explore a cave, or head back the way you came south.
