You instruct the computer to move in closer to the moon so it could perform some in-depth scans of it. You are hoping there would be still something worth exploring down on the moon itself. The scans themselves would take a couple of days to carry out.
It’s a shame you would be out of short scanner range if you wanted to take a closer look at the superstructure. It however appears your ship has some rather limited range of what it can do these days. You did on occasion watch the superstructure pass by the windows. You started to get a rather off-putting feeling about it. You were still too far away to get a clear view of what appeared to be writing on the side of it.
In hopes that you would have some kind of adventure, you started to pack your backpack just in case. You put a couple of days’ worth of food supplies in it, a flashlight, and even checked over your space suit to make sure it was in working order.
There was not much else to do but wait for the computer to finish what it was doing. On occasion, you would try and read some of the early results. They, however, did not give you much information and from the best, you could tell there was a massive windstorm going down on the moon interfering with some of the scans taking place as it was kicking up a lot of different elements and moving them all over the place.
After another day of that, the computer complied all the results and you poured over the reports. There was very little land mass to even try and land on. You did not feel it was worth the risk of trying to land in the hydrogen ocean.
Since you would need to wear your spacesuit just to explore on the little bit of landmass it was. That also seemed like a waste of resources. Not to mention the risk of getting the ship down there let alone hoping it would be able to get off the moon.
It seems this was a waste of time. It was time to get closer to the superstructure and see what that was all about.
