It was time to head into the superstructure Corporation C-199X had that was revolving around Q-877. This was quite the unexpected turn of things you wanted to get to the bottom of a lot of questions you had if possible.
Your ship was able to connect to the superstructure itself. Oddly enough despite you being from corporation MBTX the structure opened its doors once there was a solid seal along the walkway between your ship and the structure. You were half expecting to have to cut your way through the doors to get in.
Corporation C-199X was always known for being a rather stale boring corporation. It was no shock the building was pale gray and the entire place just felt like it was sucking the soul right out of you. The entire place as you took just a few steps made you feel rather uneasy about all of it.
It seems you did not enter through a main entryway area. You found yourself in a small side hallway instead. You were half hoping to have found some kind of receptions desks to start looking for clues.
It also looked like this hallway had a dead-end. So there was no further point in heading down that direction as this was the last and only room in the hallway itself. So you turned left and started to walk down a long corridor.
The lighting of this place seemed to be constantly flickering on and off again. You almost wished the lighting would make up its mind if it wanted to stay on or be off. It was starting to give you a headache from the repeated and endless flashing.
After walking a bit further the corridor lead you to a closed door. You asked the computer if there was working life-support behind the door. It responded it seemed to be in working order. So you slowly opened the door.
This is also when you realized just how tall the doorways let alone the ceiling were in this place. It was far too tall for anyone at Corporation C-199X to require. A smirk came across you somewhat at the thought that they did not build this place at all.
After all, how could Corporation C-199X build a place like this? Their space program let alone building technology was rather inferior to MBTX. Perhaps they simply stole this place and tried to repurpose it for themselves? You would not put it past them to try and make something look like they created it and pass it off as propaganda. It would not be the first time they used such tactics.
As you entered the room you noticed it was a giant cafeteria of sorts. There was enough seating in there to fit thousands of beings if not more. There were also strange machines along the walls where the food must have been acquired.
You walked up to one of the machines. You noticed there were some tool marks at the top where they must have scrapped off whatever symbols were on it. The sticker that was half peeling away read “property of Corporation C-199X.” You finished ripping it off to realize there were some strange symbols under it. It was not theirs in the first place.
You tried to make it work. That was however quite unsuccessful. After a few moments, you decided your time would be better used elsewhere. There was so much to explore. You had no doubt you would find other things they would try to claim to be the owners of and were not.
You could continue to further search the cafeteria or check out the door on the left or right.
