You opened the door on the left and found yourself looking into a giant ship hanger. It went on for so long that you could not even see the other side of it. It seemed from first glance the only ships that were reminded here were beyond repair or were in different stages of being fixed.
One could only assume if there was some kind of massive war that all available ships would have been launched to help defend the superstructure itself. You were rather glad you did not run into the armada of ships this place must have been capable of launching.
The ship hanger itself had the walls littered with stacked spare parts. Many of those parts it seems were quite questionable if they would even still work. Whoever ran this place must follow the rules of if you can get it to fit with a few taps of a hammer it’s good to go.
You started to search through many of the piles of parts just out of interest. You did not think you would find anything that might look useful for your ship. You however never know without taking a look around.
One of the dismantled ships you pass by was a neon red color. It looked like it took a massive blast to its engine compartment. There was only one gun left attached to it. The cockpit looked like it would hold only a single occupant.
This was perhaps the most remains of a ship in the entire hanger. Whatever happened here they sure did not leave left intact behind. You also started to feel with how many ships this place could have held that you would expect a lot more debris outside floating around.
You continued to walk up and down the rows. Then you came across another “property of Corporation C-199X.” It was attached to what was left of a cockpit of a ship. It kind of looked like it was angled in a way if you took photos of it from the one side you would not realize it was just what was left of some heap of junk ship. Perhaps more evidence of propaganda.
As you were about to walk away you noticed a folder on the floor. It had in giant red letters “Classified by Corporation C-199X.” That seemed more than interesting enough to take a further look at. So you opened the folder up.
By Order Of Corporation C-199X
We have found this abandoned base in section 157XC. We are still unclear why the former inhabitants left this in the haste of this location. While most of the technology has been trashed or taken with them. We believe there is still more to be gained.
If nothing else we have staged several photo operations to make it look like we have advanced due to relationships with an unknown advanced civilization. It will be your goal to further this operation and ensure those photos get leaked to high-ranking members of MBTX.
Be on the lookout. MBTX is expected to be mounting a mission to this sector of the universe. We believe they have discovered that Golden Paradox 384 originated from an ice planet that is just a couple of days away from here.
If they should happen to show up at this base please shut down all operations imminently. If you can eliminate them as a threat without expositing this operation see to it.
Grand Marshal Of The Third Rank Corporation C-199X.
That was quite alarming news to have discovered. It seems despite the computer not believing that anyone else was here there might be the possibility it was wrong. Hopefully whatever was going on here has since moved on. It however seemed like they were aware that you might end up finding this place.
You ended up searching through the rest of the hangar. Nothing else of interest was found. You can now either explore the right door or continue moving forward down the hallway.
