Malaysia and Aceh have a long history and a good relationship for ages. I was Lucky enough to be part of Aceh-Malaysia Youth Leader Conference, because of this conference I got a free ticket to visit this beautiful country.
But.... When we are landing on KL Air port, we got harsh words from an immigration officer, she treat us (me and my friends) as if we are illegal people who entered her country, her treatment change my view about Malaysia in a second.
However, outside the airport we got a warm welcome from Malaysian students which take our anger away. From the airport the conference committee take us to Terengganu, it take few hours to reach the place. In Terengganu we got a very warm welcome, the conference member have not yet eating because they were waiting for us to take dinner together (we reach Terengganu around 11 pm).
The Commitee told us that they have prepared some Malaysian food and Kerupuk Lekor, I was wondering what is so special about this kerupuk (in Indonesian Kerupuk mean Chips). and when I see the Kerupuk... it doesn't looks kerupuk at all. lol.
kerupuk Lekor is Terengganu's special food, made of fish and flour. this is how it looks.
Besides Kerupuk Lekor they also serving this rice. They called it as nasi hujan panas (if I am not mistaken). the taste? well.. it's so delicious, but the color what make it so interesting for me.
The next day we got a welcome ceremony, this dance... I forget what is the name, I simply love it. after all most of Malaysian that I met are very friendly and kind, I wish one day I got another chance to explore more places at Malaysia.
well, I won't talk about the conference, I stay for about a week in Zainoel Abidin University of Terengganu.
