A self-proclaimed geek, I have been involved in the IT industry since 1984, working with Apple the year the Macintosh was launched. I designed and coded my first web site for a paying client in 1996, before many people had heard of the Internet, and I have seen the evolution of online content from text only to rich media.
I have had key roles in the development and implementation of projects for major national and international companies, which has given me a strong understanding of the procedures and processes required in the creation and continual improvement of web sites, applications and interactive multimedia assets. I have been responsible for large teams of people, managed a number of online communities, and worked on the creation of digital projects for national and multi-national corporations.
I'm keenly taking part in the revolution that the convergence of devices and the rise of social media are creating in the fields of communication and collaboration for both personal and business connections.
I'm active on Facebook and Twitter, and am keen to see the "next thing" in social networks, which is what brought me here.
Outside of work, I love cooking (especially breads and cakes), and coffee (I have an espresso machine, cold dripper, pour over, syphon and french press at home for making coffee).
