There is nothing that can quite capture the magnificence and splendor of a waterfall. There is a locale in Portland, Oregon that boasts such extravagance. It’s called Multnomah falls. It is located 35 miles northeast of downtown Portland alongside sweeping views of evergreen hillside and sharp cliff-side. It runs into the Columbia River, which itself acts as a natural barrier between Portland Oregon and Vancouver Washington. In the summer months the falls flow in spectacular fashion, boasting the best waterfall views closer to the city of Portland whilst having the easiest access to a waterfall I have ever seen. In winter months, depending on the cold, the waterfall can occasionally be seen frozen in place! In this instance it is free flowing.
The reason this photo strikes me the way it does is knowing exactly how powerful a waterfall really is. In the photo you can see the water flowing through a small cloud break creating the feeling of pure freedom. They say a photo is worth a thousand words. The beauty of photography is that each photo communicates something different for each individual. In this instance I’m stricken by Gods beauty and am consumed by the thought that such beauty truly exists. I find myself wanting to explore more and more to discover more places of wonder.
