Hello Steemians!!
I’m Elizabeth, some people call me “Liz Blake” one person calls me “Lizzers." I’m on Steemit to connect, to share about holistic living, to inspire and be inspired, to learn about crypto currencies and embrace the ways of a sustainable future!!
I was born in New York City and lived there a long time. Earlier this year I lived in Brooklyn and now I’m traveling exploring life beyond the big city while I plant the seeds for my budding business!! I’m still in the midst of this massive leap of faith I took earlier this year, leaving my NYC job to create a life I LOVE.
My background in is Holistic Health, I studied at NYU where I designed my own major exploring the Mind/Body Connection, Food + Nutrition, Jungian Psychology, Shamanism, and Photography.
I also traveled the world working as a chef, studying with shamans, training in yoga, learning from the earth. At some point, I decided to learn more about technology and business, so I landed a job at a tech startup in NYC. When I wasn’t at that desk, I was deeping my work with medicinal plants and ceremonial Cacao, developing my Liquid Love Cacao drink! (That brown thing in my hands is a Cacao pod, it grows on trees)
Did I mention that I LOVE plants?! Here’s me in my urban garden in Brooklyn and upstate harvesting pine pollen last spring.
After a few years, the tech job started to suck my soul and so then I left to create something I love, something that feels like a calling, something that is fully aligned with my heart and soul…. so now here I am, making my dreams come true!
I’m launching my website soon, it’ll be full of good food, plant medicine, holistic living, sustainability, and embracing the sacred in the mundane. I’ll be doing more and more Cacao ceremonies and events, serving Liquid Love Cacao!
Another exciting thing to note… I’m helping to build a healing center at the Source Farm, my family’s eco-village in Jamaica. The eco-village is built of eco-domes, there's a nature school, a permaculture education program and they’ve also started Jamaica’s first organic farmer’s market, Ujima Natural Farmers Market in Kingston.
Stay tuned!!
