As I briefly mentioned in my first post (take two steps back if you haven't read it yet), I shifted from a life of dance to a life of photography. That doesn't mean dance is no longer in my life. Dance will always be very important to me. Naturally having 17 years of dance experience, mixed with my photo experience results in the perfect equation for dance photography. I have a network of dance connections, I know what proper technique looks like and I know how to shoot photos. Boom!
Dance and I have a funny relationship. I once lived and breathed dance, made it my whole life and then things shifted. You will still find me dancing down a supermarket aisle and my heart will still flutter at a completely beautiful piece of choreography, but yet I haven't taken a dance class in years. Why is that? I'm not completely sure. I could probably have a therapist dissect that with me, but for now it is what it is. At the end of the day I still love it, and will continue to take photos of it.
I will set a goal to take a dance class in the near future. I will report back when I do.
Here are a few more shots for your viewing pleasure...
