Hello guys! just checking in with my first post.
People often talk about staple, everyday ingredients. But, without a doubt, kimchi should be in all food-lovers refrigerators!
It's super healthy, fermented, probiotic-rich and adds so much depth and flavour to savory dishes!
Luckily, i'm in South Korea now and have been given homemade kimchi from my friend's mother - it's the real-deal! However, you can get fairly good kimchi in most Asian marts these days.
It goes well in any stew or tomato-based pasta or curry sauce. Add it near the end of cooking to taste, depending on how spicy you like it!
Here, I added a cup of choppped kimchi to a standard beef spaghetti sauce.
Voila!
The results are next-level taste and richness to your everyday pasta sauce! :)
I added a grated carrot earlier during cooking for extra bite and added thickness to the sauce.
If you try kimchi in your pasta sauce or curry - please comment below. I'd love to hear your kimchi recipe ideas!
