For our first run of the new year I decided to show Riana a new route I found with great scramble areas and a climb or two. This was our last run of the farm, so we needed to make it count.
We went out just before sunset and headed around the dam and onto the climb. On the final climb through the massive crack, a big stone came lose, broke into a number of pieces and fell halfway on my foot as a jumped away. Some of them I managed to push flat against the wall as I shouted to Riana to watch out. She got out of the way and almost got hit. What a scary moment and reminder the you need to be super cautious when climbing these limestone walls.
Let me know what you think?!
