Lately I’m in mood for healthier food and lifestyle to live. Can’t say I’ve really decided for 100% I’ll lead one from now, but I have some thoughts on this and that and am feeling that it’s kind of a road towards it. At the moment some kind of inner transformation is going on in order to turn it to actions. 🚴

In my experience I’ve found it our, that inner work always precedes the consistent actions. Because before the inner work we are just forcing ourselves to do things. And there is always a chance that one day we’ll get tired of it and stop.
With the inner work preceded it’s different. Please, don’t confuse it with no work and laziness, it’s not the subject at all. Inner work is quite hard to do, even harder that actions as such. But when the inner work is done, actions come in more natural and willing manner. Even when it’s “not the day” and “not the mood” you do things willingly because your mindset has transformed.
As my oldest subscribers most probably know, I’ve always been interested in the brain and how it works. At the moment I have some renewed interest in this, and now would like to explore some best food for the brain.
I’ll start with exploring different articles and discussing it here with you, guys, and who knows, what’ll turn out from that! :) This year again I’m very open for transformations…
So, let’s look into some food which is considered to be good for brain! Let’s know a bit more about avocado today.
FUN FACT: Did you know that avocado is also called alligator pear? I wonder why it’s that!

Avocado in means of botanics is considered to be a berry with a seed. 🍒 A berry. Did not know it until today, my dear friends. So, a day worth living, have learnt something new. ;)
According to researches, avocado is the leader on calories per gram among any other food. This is why a lot of people usually don’t like it and tend to avoid consumption. However, you should definitely take into consideration that those calories by far are not empty, on the contrary, full of good thing for your health and blossom of your body.
▪️ Avocado is rich in B vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin K, Folate as well as diverse beneficial and healthy fats. It have been found that avocado enriches blood supply and thus it nourishes your brain with oxygen which is a crucial thing for proper work of a brain. Also, studies show that avocado consumption activates and benefits the work of prefrontal cortex, which is a part of a brain that is responsible for higher cognitive functions like critical thinking, analytical processing and strategic planning.
▪️ Vitamin K helps to harden the blood vessels as well as it is crucial for blood so that clots are not formed.
▪️ Vitamin C is essential in production of chemicals that are used by neurons to communicate.
▪️ Vitamins B help you to be more resistant to stress and also be more happy, they are even usually called “the happy vitamins”.
▪️ Folate is very healthy for your brain and it’s cognitive function, especially for your memory. Folate is even given to pregnant women so that the brain of a future child is being formed properly.

I’ve also my favourite recipe on how to eat avocado.. Actually, two of them. ☝️
1️⃣ The first one is very simple. You just get a slice of dark bread (here in Latvia we call it Rupjmaize, and most usually I don’t see it in other countries. But this is the best bread one can eat! ;) ). You toast that slice so that it becomes crunchy, and then put some avocado on it. Add a bit salt, if needed, and voila! Your perfect breakfast is ready.
2️⃣ The second my favourite recipe is a bit trickier that the first one, but still quite simple. And here I even have my own photo of the dish, i think it’s very nice. :)
Here’s a recipe for the second dish which happens to be a salad of sort. You take an avocado, mozzarella and tomato. You slice that all and get a nice dish to put everything on. Then you put slice by slice this on the dish: tomato, mozzarella, avocado, again tomato, mozzarella, avocado, but be sure to put pesto between all the slices. So that it actually looks like: tomato, pesto, mozzarella, pesto, avocado, pesto, repeat. On the photo I don’t have mozzarella, this is because sometimes I don’t have and don’t put it, and the salad is just wonderful this way as well. So, you can experiment and try what you like most.
Have a healthy brain! 🧠 🙏
