When I was in Thailand a lot of small kids was trying to sell me flowers for almost nothing. But as I was on a vacation with two guys (my friends) I couldn't see why I would want a red rose. So what we did was that instead of buying the flowers we would buy him food, so he could eat. If you buy the flowers, the money will go to some crazy parent or mafia like boss. For most a meal means more than money.
