I hate the sight of poverty. I served an internship over in India for a few weeks and it was really heartbreaking. Seeing the socioeconomic divide between the lower and upperclass was devastating, and the gap was so big that it was evident that there is a ceiling stopping these lower classes from becoming educated, earning adequate income and improving their living conditions. I worked at a startup called accelerate with me which actually delivers solar powered goods to those that live in poverty to overcome the costs of electricity in India, and also to rely on an environmentally sustainable product that can also be depended on. The faces of the families when they received the goods were heart touching and I hope that the world keeps on alleviating the global poverty cycle.
