Very few people know about these fish Seahorses also called Hippocampus beinginteresting and curious creatures live in tropical and shallow water temperatures seeking protection in seagrass beds, estuaries, coral reefs and mangroves.
Usually this kind of fish has been considered very attached to their partners and within the curiosities it is said that they choose a partner for all their marine life and when one dies the other lasts a single time and dies as well. The average life in the nature of a seahorse is between 4 and 6 years.
These seahorses have a ritual like many animals which consists of a courtship dance that can last several days until mating occurs and this dance allows the male and female to evaluate the reproductive status.
Their colors may vary and more when they are endangered by a predator in this case more than all would be the penguins, which is their only defense mechanism that have the camouflage with their marine environment to not be devoured.
Unfortunately, these beautiful creatures can not keep a time in captivity as fish tanks because the captivity diminishes their life time
