I would feel much better about self driving cars, if they were "unhackable."

like, little carts attached to the ground or to the side walls or something that slide along down the streets seems like essentially the same thing, and a lot cheaper and you could probably make it super green. (you can even power it by peddling, and people can work as peddlers and they collect the fees.)

This puts some great visions in my mind... I like the idea of peddlers earning the fare. It's like, ohh man I'm hungry, guess I could go peddle around town for a while and have a nice big meal afterwards. Super interesting thought.
