Tropical Oatmeal Smoothie
I love to start my day (or mid morning) with a healthy juice or smoothie. When I'm doing well with healthy eating habits and have time in my morning, I usually try a different one every day. Today, I am trying this tropical oatmeal smoothie. I don't do oatmeal smoothies often but they always appeal to me. This one is packed with fiber and is quite nutritious and tasty.
Here are the ingredients.
The recipe calls for mangos, which I LOVE but am mildly allergic to so I used frozen fruit instead.
The first step is to blend the oats into a fine powder. I have never done this with an oatmeal smoothie, but it's nice to not have to chew your smoothie sometimes so I liked this change.
This turned out to be a nice, filling, tasty smoothie!
