Yes it has indeed been a while I didn't travel to South Africa. COVID has messed up a lot my travel plans during the last two years, as can easily be imagined. My colleague in Johannesburg, with whom I still work actively (and who is now full professor at U. Johannesburg) visited me several times in France, and I will see how I can manage to pay him a visit in 2023. This obviously depends a lot on travel money (which is now an issue as most grants evaporated during COVID). We will see (I am however optimistic).
