The basics are you need to warm up, do some sort of aerobic workout and straightening workouts , increase your flexibility .... I would say if you don't want to go to extreme start with yoga its a quick easy and it will strengthen and make you really flexible. Try it everyday for 30 minutes the key factor is not only to do a lot but a little everyday does help quite a bit
