Badgers balls, it's Saturday!! Are you ready to gun some beers? I'm ready!
What do we have in store this week? None of your pallid, wet skin looking ones either. This week we are going dark. Like midnight on Pluto.
Regular dark you cry? You mean like a porter or a stout? Well one of them is a stout yes, but regular, heck no.
So what are they?...
Goodness me, a salted chocolate Imperial breakfast stout? I can feel the blood rushing to my porken extremeties. This sounds top notch. And look at the strength of the salty wee bastard... 9.1%!!!
That's fighting territory!!

Now normally I frame the shots a little better. But it's sunny as hell and I am drinking al-fresco. So I can barely see the screen on my phone.
It's a black velvety number. It looks like a family of black crabs scuttling across a black sandy beach at midnight. Mm, gets my chompers all snarly!
Whilst I have a moment I try an amateurish slo-mo video. I love my new phone!
So, it looks awesome. It plays well in videos. How does it taste?
Pretty damn good! Definite coffee bitterness being the overriding taste. It's very thick of the mouth. There is a hint of sweet vanilla and the oats that are claimed to be in it. I like it a lot.
Can you tell? However, having tried a fair number of these types of stout I feel that if they balanced the vanilla and chocolate against the coffee bitterness they would have an astounding stout. So an admirable 8/10 booms. Fix the balance and it could be a ten!

Well. This one is a puzzler. A black Berliner Weisse. Hang on... Doesn't Weisse mean white??
I am bloody well intrigued. Bring on the black white beer!!

As a big fan of otter's that's no bad thing.

Lemony. I don't want a lemony beer. If I want something alcoholic and lemony I will drink my own fine home made limoncello!!
I am disgusted by this beer. So much do that I have to pour it out. A damning indictment.
Begone with you!! 2/10 booms and those two solely because it was black when it was white.
A good choosing this week. Despite the lemon muck.
