Rest is a necessity if we don't want to harm our human body.
Hi steemians, it has been a long time. I'm glad to come back on board after weeks of unexpected break. Sickness, stress and emotional trauma swept me off my feet.
My real problem started when I refused to take a break despite the fact that I knew I needed rest. I kept on forcing myself to do things I wasn't strong to do until I broke down ..... I suffered from headaches, back pain, ulcer and a lot more....
Having been sick for quite a while, I was supposed to take a rest, but I continued working....and the reason for doing that is simple........working for daily bread.
If you can't earn money while you sleep, you are not yet financially free.
Though my body needed rest, my finances said "no". In the midst of all these adversaries, a new thought gripped my mind..... I must set up structures to work for me while I sleep if I don't want to continue being a slave to money.... Of course, I don't.
Back to the topic. After all said and done, I finally gave myself a break. It was a time-out for quality rest. I slept more and tried not to engage myself in any form of mental or physical stress. It paid off, my healing process improved and I regained my sanity.
More than the drugs, rest worked better.
Now the big question is;
When Rest became Inevitable, how was I able to pay my bills without begging or borrowing?
Answer: Steemit. I was able to pay my medical bills and provide for my daily up keeping through the money I made from blogging here.
You may not know it, steemit is affecting the lives of so many people in ways you never imagined.
"Steem" is the only world currency that represent a beacon of hope to the hopeless.
I hereby use this opportunity to appreciate the steemit CEO, the devs, community builders, content creators, investors and all those who are have kept the candle burning until today.

It's a pleasure to announce to you that your prayers and contributions to help Anayo Isaac wasn't in vain. The surgery as I heard from his brother, was successful. As at the time of post payout, I calculated the post reward & your donations, then sent him the naira equivalent which is 48,000 naira.
Food For Thought
Most times, people know what they need to make their lives more comfortable, but they are handicapped by prevailing circumstances.
Who are you to humanity?
Are you the person prosterity will immortalize and bless?
Are you the type whose name will be lost forever?
Or will your memory be the one that attracts curses?
That insignificant kindness could be significant enough to save a life. Always do the little you can.
