Simbáng Gabi (Filipino for "Night Mass") is a devotional nine-day series of Masses practiced by Roman Catholics and Aglipayans in the Philippines in anticipation of Christmas and to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Only in the Philippines where we celebrate Christmas the longest. Every family here awaits this season where sharing, loving, reunions and gathering or parties are everywhere to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
One traditions which enlivens the spirit of christmas and christianity is the 9 mornings of early mass (simbang gabi). Many believes that completing the mass for 9 days will grant your wishes for the year though the real meaning of this is the preparation of the birth of Jesus.
Merry Christmas To all !!
