This San Francisco based company shook up the delivery food service when it first started partnering with restaurants in major cities in 2015.
Since then, they have expanded to cities all over the world and have become a household name.

As an ER Travel Nurse, I’m sure you can imagine, my schedule can be all over the place. This is where UberEATS really shines for a person with odd hours like myself.
Many of the restaurants that have partnered with the company serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is crazy helpful when I get home at different times of the day. I’ve even seen a few restaurants open 24 hours a day for delivery(depending on location).

When I get home from a long day of work, sometimes I just don’t want to put in the effort of getting together a meal for myself. The convenience of having hot food arrive at my door can be priceless. The food is always packaged very well to stay hot during the transit.

I have tried a few other delivery services with mixed results, ranging from taking 2 hours to arrive and the food being cold, to not arriving at all. What a bummer that can be!!
UberEATS can be ordered via smartphone app, or you can order through the companies website on your computer at home. The app has a delivery tracker so you know exactly when it will arrive at your door. Each restaurant has a delivery time estimate and let me say it is fairly accurate. From my experience never more than 45 minutes, no longer than sitting at a restaurant waiting for my meal.

The cost of each delivery is $4.99 and they do not accept tips through UberEats, but if you have a good experience it’s always nice to tip a few bucks cash if you can. Otherwise the rate is pretty cheap in my opinion compared to other similar services.
It has been rumored that the company will add a tip option in the near future so keep an eye out on that. The drivers need to make some $$$ also.
