There are plenty of reasons that a person might decide to become a vegetarian: some want to get healthier, some want to lose weight, and some want to save the animals.
But are any of them even remotely tolerable to be around?
I understand that our reliance on the meat industry is pushing tons and tons of cow farting, mother fucking methane into the atmosphere and heating up our little planet like a dirty pair of whitey-tighties in the VA Center Sauna. And I get that animals are people too (they aren’t, that’s a joke, asshole.) But I will give you the way we slaughter those poor dumb animals is usually pretty horrific.
But do vegetarians have to be so horrible to talk to and have a meal with and generally have a meal with?
They’re preference (or lack of) for meat always seems to find it’s way into conversation, and when you’re dating one, every fucking meal is a discussion about the veggie options any given place has. I mean it’s hard enough to get my girl to pick a place to eat, but then for 4 random days out of the week we also have to consider the amount of non meat options that are also GOOD?!?! I mean seriously, you know what makes a meal good most of the time? The freakin’ meat.
So you tell me. Insensitive prick who doesn’t care about the world? Or are you with me, that it’d be a lot easier to be around them if they didn’t need to make it my damn problem all the time.
Also, though: the impossible burger is freaking delicious. If they can do that with all meat products, we just might have something to talk about.
