challenged fellow Steemians to post about something that you consider to be a Guilty Pleasure... Especially if it is something that didn't used to bring about that "guilty" feeling.
Being a homesteader and growing most of our own food, I cook from scratch almost always. The guilty pleasure is all the desserts I make.
For baking I use millet flour and LOTS of eggs to get a cake like texture. For puddings and cream things I use raw milk and we make raw butter. Most use little or no sweeteners, except the jelly.
Here are my guilty pleasures:
Egg custard…look at that color!
Blueberry shortcake
Eggnog with nutmeg and cream
Pear slice pie with pecan crust
Peach shortcake with raw whipped cream with vanilla
Pumpkin pudding
Sliced pear custard
Strawberry ice cream
Strawberry shortcake with raw whipped cream with vanilla
Violet jelly
