The village of Amboise sits along the Loire River in France’s Loire Valley and was a stop on my recent vacation in France. We stayed in a small chateau alongside the Loire River for a couple of days and on one morning I got up to shoot some long exposure shots along the river just after sunrise.
The first one was looking upriver just as the sun was coming up. The sky was mottled with clouds so I didn’t get much of a sunrise, but I love the way the clouds turned out. The long exposure flattened out the current in the relatively fast moving river and provided a nice reflection of the sky.
The second shot also faces upstream, but focuses on the two old bridge abutments standing in the river.
The third shot looks downstream and the sky has started to brighten a bit.
