When you're married you have to get it in when you can! Tonight it just so happened to work out that all 4 of our kids are going to relatives for the night. Also, if you're married, you know this didn't really happen by chance. We had to work it out. SO, WHAT'S THE FIRST THING WE DO WITHOUT OUR KIDS???
Eat out at our favorite restaurant. Naturally. (If we would have been home, instead of downtown, we would have been doing a different kind of eating out.. If you know what I mean 😉)
A meal in a restaurant without the kids is a treat! No matter how chill it is. We don't have to share a single fry with anyone. We don't have to worry about a spilled drink or tantrum.
Barnaby's is our go to. We used to live walking distance and it was a weekly meal for us. These days its a 40 mile treck for us, so we go as often as we can when we are in Montrose. For those of you who are not from Houston, Montrose is near midtown and it is the very eclectic, gay bar, dive bar, late night eatery part of town. It is where 
Everything on the menu is delicious!!
Fries are soooooo good. Burgers are made from certified Akaushi Japanese beef. Salads are big enough to split. Which is exactly what we did. We split the Chicken Fatoush Salad and a Mushroom Swiss Burger. And a nice white wine to start off the night.

The decor is DOG! The owners are a gay couple who dedicated their restaurant to their childhood pet, Barnaby.
They have toys for the kids to play with. You may also buy one of the Bots.
One of my favorite things is the mouthwash despenser in the restroom! Classy. Lol
When we dont have our kids we try to be spontaneous and just enjoy each other's company. So stick around and look out for whatever trouble we may get into tonight!!! There's no telling with
