Market Fun on Saturday
source
All the following photos by me today at the market and it was fun food tasting!
Another shopper and I were on the same dessert sample trail. I followed her, after these three I was feeling the sugar in a good way so I got some organic coffee and headed to the checkout.
These are Moochi a type of Japanese ice cream and really good. We sampled the ones in the upper left of the photograph. They had all different favors. The food guy said they are wrapped in a type of rice paper and then frozen. Delcious so good!
This is bread pudding samples and they even put the reciepe out for everyone. I grew up in the south and my grandmother made bread pudding out of the bisquits left over from breakfast. It has been years since I tasted bread pudding and this is a different recipe for sure. I thought they were tasty.
If you have ever had Red Velvet Cake you know how good it is. In the 1950's it was very popular in the States. Very good and about all the sugar I could take after 3 big dessert samples in a row.
This is the fruit cake that costs close to 20 dollars so I have not tried it.
Here are some of the items in my shopping cart and I am ready to go with coffee in hand.
Now for the check out lady
The young woman at the check out counter was very unfriendly. First off I told her I knew not to set my coffee on that conveyer belt they use for check out. She told me someone had spilt a beverage once and screwed one up.
My response and I kidding around was, “See how you are.” People say that all the time kidding around. She cut me the eyes and said what did you say? I told her I was kidding that people often say that. She glinted at me is the best way to put it.
I ask her what she was doing it was so obvious, her response is she was making sure what I said. OMG, I could not believe it. I told her it is alright. Then when I told her the 2 bags of chips were on sale she did the look again. I asked her again did she understand what I said. She tells me, “I am analyzing it.”
Okay so the trip to the market was still fun and people were upbeat my best guess is she is on some kind of medication because I quietly asked and the girl bagging my groceries said the checker did not have a hearing problem.
Should I report her? What do you think? If she is on medication I want to let it slide.
