I’m sitting here in, yes, Franklin, Ohio.
Am I happy about being parked on a place named after me?
The answer is: No.
I was supposed to be home on Monday but the Atlanta loop crushed my driving time.
Thanks to Atlanta, I managed to get only 394 miles in ten hours of driving time.
Let me explain...
As a truck driver, I am allowed to drive up to eleven hours a day. At sixty miles an hour, I can potentially make 715 miles in one driving session. And I get paid by the mile, not the time.
But driving through Atlanta sucks the life out of my paycheck. The Loop is absolutely awful to drive through, especially on Friday.
As I look down, I see a bunch of (please kill me) white folks that got off of work early as they head home for the weekend.
Apparently, blacks have to wait until actual closing time before they can leave work.
So...
A bunch of honkies in cars delayed my delivery by three hours which means that I have to spend a weekend in a truck stop before I can deliver this load.
Thanks, honkies.
