I think Bandcamp is one of the best place to get music to fans. Even I could make a few bucks there and I've made nothing from streaming. Not that I really market my music anyway. Of course I make more from Hive and I think combining that with Bandcamp could be a great combination for artists as you can post about the journey here and then sell the results on Bandcamp that has less social features. I do listen a lot on Spotify and Youtube, but I realise they don't pay much.
I know these can be tough times for artists and we need to break the grip of the big corporations. I'm with you on fighting back against the tide of AI 'slop'. That is not the way art should go.
