From as far back as Yola could remember, she never saw anyone else by her side but her grandmother Tina; her mother had left her in that cream-colored house, which smelled of lemongrass in the morning breeze, to run off with a man who offered her a lot of money. Because of this, as Yola grew up, she clung more and more to her grandmother; they both spoke in the same tone of voice, used the same phrases, and knew the same songs.

While each of us is free to take action based on personal decisions, there is also room to think and believe that we can do something for someone else. This is like an invitation that does not require much protocol when it comes to taking action that shows interest, respect, affection, and admiration for the person in front of you. How necessary can this be for us, and how much do these actions contribute to ourselves? It will be very interesting to see how much we can do for ourselves when we show the right attitude towards other people.

On this occasion, I share with you my interpretation of “Tengo el sentimiento herido” (I Have a Wounded Feeling), a Venezuelan song that has become a symbol of llanero music and popular poetry, and which I first heard in my childhood. The song, immortalized by Mario Suárez and composed by Ángel Custodio Loyola, reflects the deep pain of a heart marked by absence and nostalgia. Its strength lies in the simplicity of the words and the intensity of the feeling it conveys.

Community: Hive Run 🏃♂️🏃♀️

Welcome, fellow Hivers from Hiverun. It is a pleasure to share with you today. This week has been fairly straightforward in terms of long-distance running; lately, I have been doing my best to run 10 kilometres on the two days of my weekly training. It's not easy, because I also do weight training and other exercises. But where there's a will, there's a way. So I had to get back to running 10 kilometres regularly, to make my mind understand that from now on this is how it's going to be, thus gaining more endurance and building a new mindset to run for an hour without stopping.

Hello dear friends of Hive Open Mic! It is a pleasure and a great honor for me to be with you again, after so long without sharing one of my covers in this beautiful community. This week we have a very beautiful theme called “Children,” and I feel that the song I chose for this occasion does it justice. It was originally released on the album “Cantando con tío Simón” (Fauna Viva, 1999), and its lyrics use a poetic narrative to describe a cow interacting with nature and the sky.

A couple of years ago, when I used to watch too much anime, I remember that when I liked a song from a particular anime (whether it was the OP, ED, or from a musical anime), I would search for it on the violin because I always liked listening to my favorite songs in their violin versions, and most of the time I would find that version and love it more than the original song with vocals. During one of those searches, I found this guy who can basically play the violin melody of any song, and in this case, any theme from different anime. Here on this channel, you can find dozens of melodies from any anime. If you like anime, you might even find the violin version of some of your favorite songs.

I've been meaning to write this post since the middle of this month, but today I finally overcame my procrastination because it's the end of the month and the last day of the Hive Collectors initiative proposed by. This time, the topic is pens, an object that we've all used at some point in our lives.

Yesterday I had the chance to watch a beautiful Disney movie that, I was told, is quite old, if not many years old 😄, but honestly, I knew nothing about it until I stumbled across it yesterday while browsing Netflix for something to watch. I'm talking about "Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron," the story of a wild horse who resists domestication at all costs: he can't stand reins, nor being ridden by a human (in fact, it reminds me a lot of the lyrics of that popular Venezuelan song "La Potra Zaina"). But everything changes when he encounters a Native American, and a powerful bond of friendship develops between them, as they both share the same goals: respect and freedom.

Acri is located in the downtown area, very close to the passenger terminal, and although it's not a place you'd easily stumble upon by chance, it's definitely worth seeking out. I found out about it thanks to an advertisement on social media, and from that moment on, I knew it would be my next stop to share with you.
