OCD's support is expanding!
Hello everyone! This is the 2184th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.
This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.
How this Works
OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.
This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.
Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

For people who works from home, power and internet connection are essential. Thus, the absence of either one or both cause others to panic especially for those who does not have back ups. I have a power back up but I do not have a back up source for my internet connection. I live in an area where data reception is limited and most of the time it is unavailable. It is even better now that we have a fiber connection that enables me to have a decent connection for my classes. However, whenever I lose it, I would need to find an area with a better data connection and use hotspot instead. So usually when that happens, I would need to travel 15 minutes to our town and work in a cafe.

Community: Weekend Experiences

Just last week, we decided to visit this old-time golf field in our town in San Remigio, which was my go-to spot in my high school years. This landscape doesn't require an expensive trip to get there or structured planning, because this is just a simple getaway place for people who want to have peace in their fast-paced life as adolescents and adults. Although it is primarily established as a golf field in Maño, San Remigio, over the years it has been revisited as an abandoned natural landscape with no tourism involved. But although it is not emphasized as a tourist spot, prenup shoots and birthday shoots happen here from time to time because this is a very perfect place for photography, as the sunset and sea horizon from the coast of Maño can be seen here, as well as the perfect natural lighting essential in photography. Even after the 6.9 magnitude earthquake, this land became the local people's safe space, and many installed tents here for months because of shelter insecurity and danger.

Everyday experiences lead me to reflect on different matters, and on this occasion, remembering—and at times missing—the significance of rivers in my personal history, and of course, speaking of my province of Corrientes, more specifically the city of Goya. For many cities in the country, rivers fulfill a fundamental function, and beyond transportation, everything that arises around them is of vital importance. Music, street art, culinary arts, and countless other reasons make us love and respect our rivers.

Community: Amazing Drinks

Today I want to share this very easy-to-make drink; in less than 5 minutes you can make this drink that will help you start your day, and some people also drink it to satisfy cravings and avoid eating unnecessary calories. A smoothie like this will calm your hunger or cravings for a few hours and provide you with a good percentage of natural protein thanks to the yogurt, oats, and milk. I have previously mentioned that açaí is the favorite fruit of Brazilians. It is a fruit that grows in the Amazon and, in addition to being an antioxidant, it also provides vitamins A, C, and E. Of course, most smoothies have to be accompanied by a good banana, which not only gives the drink a pleasant flavor and sweetness but also provides potassium, fiber, and vitamins B6 and C.

For me, movement means being dynamic, being active, finding the momentum needed to move forward in the several aspects of our lives, the opposite of stagnation and sedentary lifestyles. All of this involves finding motivation and drive, accompanied by great willpower to progress and evolve as human beings, both personally and professionally.

I have a friend who was always very chubby and when she turned 15 she started losing a lot of weight under the idiotic cliché that all quinceañeras should be skinny. The thing was, she got that on tape and she wanted to be skinny too. When she turned 16, she continued with that fixed idea and any comment that had to do with being fat affected her so much that she induced vomiting. The person who commented did not see her throwing up and that's the point, no one knows how harmful a misplaced comment can be, no one imagines the battles that everyone can wage in their mind. Conclusion: I had developed a disorder.

I've talked about the Potato-ification of kids these days for years now. It's not something only I've noticed. Literacy is dropping alongside kids' ability to, well, exist - without some form of help from parents or teachers.

Community: Hive Open Mic

A big hello to every member of this community of music lovers. This week, 303rd of Hive Open Mic, the suggested theme is "Children," which reminded me of a song that was popular in Venezuela when I was about eight or nine years old, "Mi Niña" (My Little Girl).

It's already 17 years since I moved into my latest apartment. A new build located at a great spot in the city of Amsterdam. Because all was new, I was able to get it done the way I wanted. And because of that, I wanted to keep it tidy and clean. Uhm, perhaps also because this was the first one I owned myself - before I always rented before this one - I started to apply all the lessons learned by my mother and grandmother with respect to cleaning.

Friends, I recently spoke to you and showed you the results with Daniela Cecilia, who is officially one of my new muses. The work we managed to achieve with her is absolutely amazing because, as I told you, she is an experienced model with dazzling beauty. For this part of the session, I already had in mind what I was going to do in editing, and I don't know why, but I wanted an effect like pigeons, lots of wind, and a one-piece costume, which I managed to get from a friend who has a clothing store. I went there to look for the costume. That was the easy part because then, during the session, we lost power and had some issues, but nothing stopped us from achieving the result I wanted. I'm really delighted with her, with the work, and with the whole team that worked on this session, but anyway, here are the photos for you to see for yourselves.
This concludes this batch's curation report. We would like to congratulate those who are featured and supported. Keep up the good work and continue to explore Hive Communities.
