Hi all!
First of all THANK YOU SO MUCH to those of you that took the time to comment on my first post of this experiment!
I really appreciate the support and that you took the time to share some thoughts, tips and experience with me!
If you didnt read the start of this experiment and you want to see what it´s all about you can go here: http://bit.ly/2v6tKmN
So DAY 2 of my adventure is over and this is how it went:
Did I manage to not eat any meat or fish? -- YES!
WHAT DID I EAT?:
- I had oatmeal w/blueberries and walnuts for breakfast
- A jalapeno veggie burger for lunch (bonus: no fries!)
- Nuts and dried berries snack
- Tacos with some weird meat replacement, chili beans, home made guacamole and lots of fresh vegetables for dinner.
I bought this "taco meat" replacement in the store. It was made of some pea protein or something. Dude, the taste, smell and texture was really crap! Next time I think I´ll just stick to only the chili beans!
Also, again today I had one slice of cheese (on the burger for lunch) But as I said in my initial post, going 100% super strict vegan is not my main goal for this first week. Main goal is NO meat and fish.
HOW DO I FEEL?:
I feel quite the same as normal so far, but there were a couple of things I noticed today.
- I´ve had really bad heart burns. I have no idea whether this has anything to do with eating only plant based for 2 days or not.
- I´ve been sweating more today than I usually do. Again, no idea if it´s connected.
Anyone with same experience or any insight in possible connections?
So, the first two days have been quite easy!
UNTIL TONIGHT..! I suddenly started craving all sorts of crappy food and snacks! I opened the fridge and there was a really nice salami in there... Oh my.. BUT I withstood the pressure! :) High five!
Tomorrow I´ll hopefully have some time to experiment on doing some VEGAN BBQ in my smoker! I will take some pics and post the result. Who knows!? It might be epic! :)
Again, thank you SO MUCH for engaging in my adventure and please keep supporting this experiment!
Sharing your experience on living a plant based lifestyle will be of great value to me!
Until tomorrow - Peace, Peter
