We Filipinos have a long time favorite specially during this hot summer days. We go out of our houses as soon as we hear the bell ringing from our ice cream vendor on wheels roaming around our streets
We call this the "Dirty Ice Cream" because it is travelling the streets all day long. But it is actually clean and delicious. It usually comes in three different flavors, cheese, avocado, cookies & cream surrounded by ice so thsat it will not melt throughout the day
You can buy just one flavor or you can buy three flavor combinations ang you can either place it in a plastic cup with spoon for 20 pesos , or in cones for 10-15 pesos each
However, most prefer putting the ice cream inside hamburger buns (also 20 pesos each) and the combination of the sweet ice cream & the bread tastes really good. Just like an ice cream cake! And this is done only in the Philippines!
Filipinos are always creative in everything specially in food. Most just comes knocking or ringing their bells so that you dont need to go out and burn in the sun. This Filipino ice cream on wheels is one of the favorites by young & old alike not only during summer but whole year round. Its really more fun in the Philippines !
