Laundry folded and put away
Quiet nights and quiet days
Dishcloths neatly in a stack
Dishes drying in the rack
Sparkling mirrors and broom swept floors
Oiled hinges on wooden doors
A stream of moonlight shining in
The snow outside is glistening
A cozy fire and rising heat
Woolen socks on chilly feet
Freshly showered, air dried hair
A cat lies lounging on the stair
Down coats drying on their hooks
Eating apples, reading books
I close my eyes and fall asleep
And dream of whom I’ll someday meet
