TV moaning...
Some of you probably like me don't have a TV. There may be many reasons for this but for me it's the break from the programming. Tv has an agenda to change your opinion or condition you too a certain way of thinking; helping to to accept the ever increasing authoritarian world we live in. However as a lot of people this there are alternative to watch stuff, I mean you can't spend all your hours reading and being outside.
Uplift TV is ones of these option I go for. It free and a simple login and you're free to browser a plethora of great videos and films.
The Tables
Today I want to share with you this great little documentary film. A great fifteen minute watch. It portrays an incredible example of a simple solution to rebuild community. This is a huge issue in todays world; were community is broken. Jon Bunning captures the diverse community created when two Table Tennis Tables are installed in a park in New York.
This film is an examples of what we need to be doing. By build these community conversation flows and all are educated. It brings people from all walks of life together breaking down the media created stereotypes but diluting the TV and media messages of who's we should associate with or not. People can learn for themselves through experience and dialog through real world experience. In addition to this there is the interaction with others and nature massively benefiting individual mental health.
Little projects like this should be implemented in all cities but the key is they are free for use... as you will see the advantage of this. A wonderful example!
