My parents have been farmers for over 20 years, so i was born into farming. We specialize in vegetable farming, cabbages most often. It takes 2 and a half months after planting for the cabbages to be ready for harvest. Within this period, if you do not have an extra source of income, you are doomed. To be clear, it is not an easy task to be working other jobs alongside this hectic farming, because it requires your eyes all week long.
This is a photograph I took after planting, it had just gained roots.
This is sometime, a month and a half after planting, where the hardwork truly lies. Anything done in there must be done with absolute carefulness or else you will break those beautiful fragile beings.
This is me watering it, a few weeks before harvest. NOTHING GOOD COMES EASY.
Finally, it is ready for harvest. It looks saucy, doesn't it?
I must admit, hardwork really pays, not forgetting that I had a stretched out back, which was killing me but the outcome of the farm superceded it all. I do not regret it at all.
No matter what you are doing, no matter how small, no matter how stressful it is, do not be discouraged by the difficulty, look into the future and envision the outcome, IF IT IS WORTH IT, DO NOT GIVE UP!!!
IT WAS WORTH THE PAIN !!!
