After exploring the largest indoor market in North America (we'll have a video coming soon over on ), we did a little exploring of El Centro and grabbed some lunch.
Before we get to some sights from our exploring and our food at lunch, here's a little teaser as for what you can expect in our market video. This market had almost literally everything for sale. You could buy food, household goods, electronics, birds, rabbits, guitars, and the list goes on!
We got lost so many times in this market today! And just when we thought we had explored all of it, we would come to another huge section that we were completely unfamiliar with.
After leaving the market, we saw a little of what El Centro has to offer in Guadalajara.
After walking around Centro and nearby areas for a little while, we decided to check out a restaurant right in the middle of it all. It was a nice place, so considering its location, we thought it'd be pretty expensive. Fortunately, that wasn't the case at all.
Maddie got the nachos for $80 pesos ($4.44 USD) and I got a pesto pasta for $58 pesos ($3.22 USD).
Margaritas were 2 for 1 from 12-6 today so it was only 31 pesos ($1.72) per marg. We went with the cucumber and ended up ordering two each because they were just so darn good!
Something else that was pretty cool about the margaritas was that they were each served in a unique hand-blown margarita glass. Little touches like this add a lot to the experience!
"You already showed this picture!"
I know. But did you notice something unique about it the first time you saw it? Or did you scroll right on by? Look closely ;)
