First post on HIVE/PEAKD!Quarantine, protests, and riots have been the motivation I needed to get out the house and make use of all this camera gear collecting dust inside my home. I've been doing my best to get out the house at least once a day to snap a couple photos, and edit them on my laptop. And to my surprise, or at least in my opinion, I'm getting closer to perfecting my signature style of photography. With these photos it'll be a little hard to tell but nonetheless I'm understanding the capabilities of my camera, lenses, filters, and editing software. Most of the photos were taken on the Panasonic GH4 & Canon 18-200mm lens, while others were taken on the Konica Hexanon 40mm. I'm typically not a fan of zoom lenses but that's probably because I didn't know how to utilize them! Wow have I been missing out! I usually utilize my prime lenses, whether it be videos or photos, I just love the feel and quality the primes have on a finished product. But no more! I'm learning that when it comes to on the fly, candid photography, zooms are a true godsend. And I've been doing a disservice to myself by not using them or at least including them in my camera bag. Whether it be for fun or a job, I sabotaged myself. But I'm not looking back with regret, oh no, I'm looking forward to creating amazing visuals with all my tools! Primes, zooms, and filters unite!
