Arco is this little town in northern Italy, 15 minutes away from where my grandmother was born. The days here bring back childhood memories. What a special place it still is. Olive groves, mountain rocks, a medieval castle, little shops and gelaterias and the smell of flowers in the air. 😍
Do you see the cross?
Here it is from up close. Lovely hike up there through olive groves and steep forests.
Who can resist these olives? I couldn't and ate one straight from the tree. Do not do this 🤢
Painting by Albrecht Dürer, 1495.
Same view 500 years later through an iPhone. Times change, beauty persists.
