I went for a long walk yesterday and took some pictures to show you guys how the first day of the new year looks in Santa Barbara.
There was a lobster on the beach...or whatever was left of it after some sea creatures or birds had it for their lunch! The weird thing about it is that it looked pretty similar to those lobster tails we had gotten from the local Vons just the day before and were planning to eat for dinner)))
Those, by the way turned out super delicious and were very simple to cook. You just cut them open with scissors, put some butter, sprinkle with salt and paprika and broil for 5 min. To make it even more exciting I added a steak and green beans as a side dish. Normally Russians would never mix seafood and meat. The first time I heard about surf&turf was only after I moved to the US. I'm not sure how healthy or not this combo is, but it was certainly yummy)))
